Colorado statute already allows that those with legal concealed handgun permits may carry on public University campuses but does not allow that school teachers or other faculty at elementary, middle, junior, or high schools may carry or have a firearm with them in the schools.

The state statute has never restricted concealed carry holders from carrying their weapons on the campus of college campuses but for many years individual school administrations have done their best to restrict firearms. Now, a recent decision by the Colorado Supreme court has removed some of the uncertainty.
