Westminster, Colorado Dentist’s Office The Target of Mass Shooting

Update: 6:43pm – The suspect is now in custody.

The Denver suburb of Westminster, Colorado was in the sights of a shooter who attacked the Comfort Dental Office at approximately 3:05 PM Mountain Standard Time on Thursday afternoon.

The incident took place in the parking lot of the Comfort Dental located at 5150 W. 80th Avenue in Westminster, near the cross streets of  80th Ave. and Sheridan.

According to very early reports ,there have been 2 children and 2 adults who have been taken to local area hospitals with gunshot injuries, stemming from the attack. The conditions of said victims have not yet been announced.

The attacker is not in police custody as of the time of the writing of this article. It was announced by a police spokeswoman that the suspect had left the area following the shooting. Denver and Westminster police have cordoned off a section of 80th Ave and have advised travelers to take other routes.

Police have identified a vehicle of interest in the case. Described as a Black 4-Door Toyota Corolla with Colorado License number NPQ-091. They have also advised that the occupant or occupants of said vehicle are to be considered armed and dangerous.

Anyone who sees the aforementioned vehicle is advised to call 911 or the Westminster police department at 303-658-4360.

Police have also been seen in the taped off Comfort Dental parking lot collecting evidence, so one can assume that the situation at the physical location of the shooting is under control. The FBI is also offering support to Westminster police at this time.
