Constitutional Carry Bill Passes Colorado Senate
On a party line 18/17 vote the Colorado state senate has approved a bill that would remove the need for obtaining a permit in order to carry a concealed handgun in Colorado.
The bill is almost certainly going to die in the Democrat controlled Colorado House but we can all dream at very least.
If it were to become law Colorado would become the 8th state to allow concealed carry without a permit; an idea generally referred to as “Constitutional Carry.”
The bill in the Senate was sponored by Republican Sen. Tim Neville of Littleton. “In the State of Colorado, you can carry an open carry firearm, but if you put on a coat, just the process of putting that coat over that firearm, you could be guilty of a misdemeanor,” Neville said.
