Fort Collins Gunman Goes on Spree Shooting Following Birthday Party
Yet another spree shooting has scarred the United States, the wound this time bleeds from Fort Collins, Colorado.
Just after 2:00 AM on the morning of October 20th, Savannah McNealy and her friends Tristian Kemp and an unnamed third person were finishing up a ride-share back home to Fort Collins’ Campus West neighborhood from a birthday party celebration the three had been attending.
Upon arriving at their stop, the driver of the ride-share took off and the three were heading inside when suddenly, 30-year-old Air Force Staff Sergeant Michael Zamora emerged from the dark and fired 10 shots at the three victims, hitting all three. This barrage caused the deaths of McNealy and Kemp and injured the third, who was sent to the Medical Center of the Rockies in Loveland for treatment of the gunshot wounds. She is expected to survive, thankfully.
As for Zamora, he was not going into this attack expecting to survive. The former Airmen used his final shot on himself, shooting himself in the head.
After police sifted through the carnage of the scene and began their investigation as to why this had happened, a story began to surface that gives a solid motive for Zamora.
According to reports, Zamora was with the group of victims earlier in the same evening as the shooting. He was not in the ride-share that drove the three to their deaths, but there was a definite relationship between the two parties. The current assumption, though at the time of writing unconfirmed by the police was that a “love triangle” had developed between one of the victims, Zamora, and a third person. More information on the case will likely be released in the coming days.
The unfortunate truth of this story and other crimes of passion like it is the unpredictability of it. It doesn’t matter if you are the main target of someone who feels you have jilted them, or if you are an innocent bystander. Some people cannot take rejection or a potential lover spurning them and they lash out violently. It is a part of some people’s wiring and the only thing that you can do is make sure that you are prepared should it ever happen to you.
That’s why we at Concealed Carry Inc. report on stories like this. Not to get clicks by reporting on a tragedy. Not to highlight a shooter to feed a psychopath’s ego. We do it to make sure that YOU are prepared for situations you may have to face someday and you can train properly to assure that you are not a tragic victim of a mad man’s rage.
Our hearts go out to the victims and their families and we here long for the day that these mass shootings are a thing of the past.

Some people can’t take their untreated PTSD anymore after 240 combat missions. Some people minimalize another’s complexity of their human experience, some people spin a story towards their favor, their agenda, and unfortunately that is you. Guess who that isn’t? The victims family, who loved all victims involved, including a now veteran who’s brain was changed from his service to our country. An enlarged amygdala, and under active hippocampus, and prefrontal cortex making fear, anger, emotional processing, reality and past experiences extremely complicating in these compounding factors and unimaginable for a person so free of maddening traumatic experiences that have changed the functional and structural aspects of your brain. Please, take this rejection of your lovers quarrel hypothesis that simplifies a complicated circumstance and fails to recognize the underlying issue at hand, our military is untreated for psychological injury and society (thank you for perpetuating this) accepts this.
